Receipt Date 06/20/2008
Not received it till date!
My friend applied on 06/04/2008
He got 1 year EAD on 06/30/2008.
This is because they were trying to approve as many EAD cases as possible, so that they can earn money next year too.
They probably did this because its a fee based organisation.

Now you are going to protest porting..do u have a slightest idea of how it is to wait for 10 years in the GC queue. This is not because people were not eligible for EB2 at that time, but rather due to the lawyer and employer mess ups. And there is no wrong in someone going to the front of the queue if they were able to prove that they are eb2 worthy..
"EB-2 India. This category is expected to remain unchanged or to move very slowly forward (by a week or so) in the short-term. This is mainly caused by the fact that many EB-3 India applicants (there are approximately 60,000 EB-3 India pending cases) are �porting� their priority dates into the EB-2 India category and are thus taking visa numbers.
EB2 India is slowwly becoming EB3 as thousands are porting from EB3 to EB2. Some of them are really worthy of EB2 and some of them are fradulent.
EB2 India applicants should wake up from their celebratio of a few months leap and get ready for slow movement or retro.
Guys wake up and fight to make the porting rules veryu strong if not stop porting. The rule should be if I140 for porting is denied then the applicatnt should loose his/her initial EB3 priority date also as he /she has indicated that he/she is no longer working in the position as described in EB3 labor. Attorney received all our Receipt Notices today from CSC. Our packet was reached NSC on 7/27. NSC sent the packet to CSC. CSC transferred our I-485 back to NSC on 9/26 as my I-140 was approved from NSC.

I have sent to my state senators + 10 senators IV identified. I have also sent an email to the ND senator after he voiced his support for our cause on the senate floor today. I now plan to write to all 2008 presidential candidates. Most importantly I am going to write to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, as he has always been a champion of business and immigrant communities.

in trouble. I am not on H1 but I think the moment you get H1, in this case COS from H4 to H1 within few months you should have paying job. There will be problem at time of extension if no paystubs are present. Bench or not employer need to Pay H1b if he has hired one.

While we keep hearing the rhetoric about "H1B-only ads" by anti-immigrant groups, there is absolutely no news about thousands of "US Citizens only" or "US citizen or GC onl"y ads that we see every day.
While I understand there is a genuine case of 'Citizens Only' when it comes to jobs that involve national security, 98% of the job ads have nothing to do with national security and or government clearance. Most of these are clear and simple violations of Equal Employment Opportunity law, and hence illegal.
Since no one seems to be interested in reporting on this pervasive violation of law and illegal behavior, I have decided to start this thread to report on this highly-prevalent form of discrimination. I invite other members to post similar Job-ad E-mails on this thread (or open other threads) to highlight this issue. This will enable us to post the links whenever someone brings-up the issue of H1b-only Ads next trime. It might also enable members to report to EEOC in large numbers and/or shame the recruiters/employers from posting such blatantly discriminatory job ads.

That may be a RFE and then eventually you have to give that letter and do more bargaining with your employer...
I am clarifying myself again. I did not mean to suggest that pay stubs can be used in lieu of FUTURE employment letter.
In any case, why not change your employer after 6 months of filing for your I-485. From the way they are treating you, you should be the first one to invoke AC21.
I don't think you will get a RFE within 6 months, but of course you never know. But if we assume normal processing times, I am sure your new employer would give you a letter. However, do consult with an attorney before changing jobs to make sure the job is "same" or "similar".

I disagree a little bit - this will help people in EB3 indirectly
A lot of people in EB2 and EB3 can qualify for auto adjustment of status now, so it will remove people from EB3 queue making it smaller.

This situation can affect any of us at anytime. My dear husband was diagnosed terminal 4th May 06 and passed 13th May 06, the day he passed my sons immigration cases died with my husband

Mine was a EB2 India, Feb 2006 PD. I was hopeful in the month of august, but then I had lost hope because everybody was saying visa numbers got over. However, surprisingly they approved the case in September. Looks like CIS has many aces ups its sleeve. It never fails to surprise us.
Also, I received only one soft LUD on my application, then suddenly it is card production ordered.. wow.
Anyway, it FREEEEEEEEEEEEDOM...............

I know man....i called them today and refered to their latest update ....and they bluntly ask to wait for atleast 90 days before they can provide any info...

Yesterday, My lawyer sent me receipts for my EAD, AP and my wife AP.
Now I am waiting for my 485 receipt and my wife 485,EAD receipts. How it is possible without 485 receipts, I got EAD and AP receipts.

Please write a letter to CIS Ombudsman and they will open a case with USCIS to follow up and it will have results. I have done it once and I got the response from USCIS faster.

I was looking at the processing times for the NSC 485 applications and it shows March , 2007.
Does it mean that all June 1st filers will be getting their 485 approvals by September ( barring any RFE and name check delays)???
Or is it Wishful Thinking???

Please read the Ombudsmans 2007 report pgs 17-21. These are not real processing times.
BTW, I can't believe there are *still* people on this forum who haven't read this report -- it spells out absolutely everything that is going on/wrong with all our greencards, and you can't be bothered to read it?? :cool:
